From 7th to 8th November Kinexon presented its solution at the VDE Congress 2016 in front of prominent guests from the industry, politics and media. The core theme of this year’s congress was the “Internet of Things” with a special focus on the underlying technologies and the resulting applications. It became clear, that Kinexon addresses both layers: a state of the art sensor network “technology” generating smart location and motion data and a powerful analytics platform on which various “applications” can be setup. Once again the congress underlined the importance of position and status information for the realization of promising IoT applications in the fields of asset tracking, autonomous navigation, tool handling, and process automation. With its centimeter-accurate location and motion sensing solution Kinexon perfectly addresses this need. We power the Internet of Things by answering the key questions on where and in which status objects are in real-time.
Together with selected companies we have been part of the Ernst & Young (EY) joined booth – the platinum sponsor of the congress. Part of the congress was the EY pitch competition for emerging companies that create game-changing technologies for the Internet of Things. Our managing director Nikolai von Loeper, convinced the jury and the audience of the uniqueness and benefits of Kinexon’s cutting-edge technology. In the end, Kinexon was awarded as overall winner among 8 selected companies. The jury honored that Kinexon enables the adoption of Internet of Things by making objects and industrial processes smart and visible. We are very grateful for this award, since it honors our continuous strive to enable industrial companies to master the digital transformation with a key technology made by Kinexon – a technology that helps them to do better by optimizing their products and processes in terms of quality, costs, and time.
