Many studies in the fields of sports medicine and the exercise sciences are based on men. These findings also serve as the foundation of sports performance training and sports technology.
Consequently, men and women athletes are treated equally, despite specific demands often being blatantly obvious. KINEXON and AWS challenge this status quo.
Both companies are among the leading providers of live sports data analysis and are convinced teams have enormous potential, which can be realized through pointed, women-specific load management based on player tracking technology.
… we have a wide range of knowledge and reference data we can rely on. Plus, through our joint initiative with AWS, we keep identifying new features, applications and improvements for our products and analysis to pointedly live up to the demands of women in top-level sports.”

KINEXON Women’s Sports Science
On our mission to improve conditions for women athletes and teams in professional sports in the technology sector, we have set ourselves three goals:
Players and coaches know best where potential is untapped. We teach them to use data and identify needs, promoting communication and collaboration.
It should not stop with ideas. We closely monitor the requirements of our teams and develop achievable, effective solutions to create measurable impact.
Our experience and insights can help any team. We seek and encourage exchange, always striving to contribute towards improving professionalism.
Do women athletes and staff have the same questions about performance and stress data as men? Our work with professional women’s teams has shown time and again: No, they don’t. Are there studies and papers that deal with their requirements? No, not sufficiently (yet).
This is exactly where we start: In the first step of our initiative, we support our customers in making data analysis an integral part of their training work and in identifying potential.
Together, we find the blind spots.
Most professional women teams are still coached based on sports analytics developed for men. We got confirmation from coaches and players that methods cannot be applied 1:1.
Every player’s nightmare: the cruciate ligament rupture. Women suffer ACL injuries six (!) times more often than men. Can the right training and load control reduce the risk? We believe so.
It’s hard to believe: a lot of women are still advised to delay having children until the end of their careers. The ways to balance both exist. The sound knowledge in teams is missing.
Swedish international and Arsenal defender Amanda Ilestedt is convinced: data can give you an advantage. Here she reports how she uses KINEXON data to prepare for her career highlight in Australia/New Zealand!
Knowing what is missing is one thing. Finding concrete solutions is the other. Our Sports Science team is in close contact with coaches, athletes and universities to provide coaches with meaningful data to manage training and load more effectively.
First-class player tracking data forms the basis for this. Different wearable products are available for football (soccer), handball, basketball and volleyball. All of them enable highly individualized data analysis in the KINEXON Sports App.
Only KINEXON products offer women-specific analysis features.
KINEXON PERFORM GPS Pro is the next generation of our GPS-based mobile player tracking system for outdoor team sports. In collaboration with Fitogether, we created a wearable with the best results in FIFA testing.
PERFORM IMU has the ability to track athletes anywhere and at any time with an easily portable mobile system. This system does not require a wired installation. Instead it uses IMU technology and AI to provide performance data.

why it makes a difference to customize and individualize analysis quickly and easily.
In close collaboration with the KINEXON Sports Science and Product Team, TSG Hoffenheim helped find first blind spots in performance analysis for women. Dive into the details and discover the exciting progress we’ve made together.
Load management made easy: With this new feature in our KINEXON Sports App, coaches can now plan and monitor the individual match and training load of each woman based on her menstrual cycle in just 5 easy steps. Learn how it works in our guide!
We provide the first women-specific analytics solution on them market. Our distinctive approach involves delving into women’s menstrual cycles and personal well-being to uncover exclusive insights. But what sets us apart is our ability to translate these insights into tangible, trackable actions and results, both on and off the field.
