KINEXON works with the professional women’s team of TSG Hoffenheim to further develop live player tracking and data analysis for women.
By using one of our mobile player tracking systems and the sports data analytics it provides, TSG Hoffenheim will help women athletes around the world gain critical knowledge and set new standards.
Although their story is far from over, you can follow how it started and how it’s going.
We’re chronicling their groundbreaking research in a documentary series, multiple webinars, blog articles, and more. Click on the links below for exclusive insights!

The women’s division of TSG Hoffenheim has been in existence since 2007. The first team was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2013 and has since been a permanent fixture in Germany’s top division. After a ninth-place finish in the year of promotion, TSG finished the following season in sixth place. Third place in the 2020 – 21 season also meant qualifying for the Champions League for the first time.
The majority of sports science studies and analysis methods — and thus the foundations of sports science training planning — are developed by men and are based on men. As a result, women and men are largely treated the same in training planning — even though requirements of players differ.
With our Sports Science Consulting Team at KINEXON, we are challenging this status quo. We are convinced that the individual requirements of women in sports have gone largely unrecognized for too long, resulting in an enormous untapped performance potential on any given team.
With our GPS-based player tracking system and our Sports Science Consulting Team, we will intensively accompany TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in the coming years. Together, we fill data and knowledge gaps and work on new ways to make live data and analysis efficient and meaningful.
In September we kicked-off with our very first documentary episode as well as a first webinar (access recording here).

Women deserve the same approach as men. This means: knowledge, training methods, and analysis techniques developed based on men can not be applied 1:1 to women. Here’s why.
