Injury Prevention Pays Off
Thanks to the KINEXON technology, the Augsburg Panthers have won the VBG Prevention Prize Sport 2018. The effort is also worthwhile from a sporting point of view — currently the Panthers rank second in the table.
Congratulations to our client Augsburger Panther for winning the VBG Prevention Award Sport 2018 in the category “Overall Concept”! This prize is awarded to clubs that use special ideas for the effective and practicable prevention of injuries and the promotion of health.
Those who observe learn. With this motto, the Augsburger Panther under the direction of Strength & Conditioning Coach Sven Herzog introduced our system in daily training and home games. They received support from their advertising partner FRENER & REIFER.
The holistic monitoring concept of KINEXON and its use by Augsburger Panther was rated by the jury of the VBG as extremely innovative. The central benefit is the measurable training control on and off the ice with the overall goal of minimizing injuries. It is possible to gain a comprehensive picture of the physical condition of all players at any time. It also helps the coaching staff to bring together tactical and athletic demands for the players.
Sven Herzog: “We are proud that VBG honored our extensive work and see this award as an incentive to continue our successful way. The technology of KINEXON, paired with our skills to implement the knowledge gained in the daily work, has taken our training to a new level on and off the ice. But the best technology would not help if our coaching team led by head coach Mike Stewart did not at the same time have a very close and trusting cooperation with the team doctors Jens Otto, Dr. Karsten Bogner, Dipl. Med. Vladislav Trivaks and Dr. med. Roswitha Merk and our physios Robert Paclik and Oliver Rönsch. Only as a team can we be strong.
”And the system is paying off in another area, too. The Augsburger Panthers are currently on the second place in the German Ice Hockey League.
