KINEXON nominated as outstanding science based company by Falling Walls Conference
Falling Walls Venture is an international forum for outstanding science based start-up companies as well as their wider academic and business environment. Twenty leading academic institutions present their most outstanding science based enterprises from all over the world to an audience and a distinguished jury. Kinexon was introduced by the non-profit organization Wissensfabrik – Unternehmen für Deutschland which is engaged in the promotion of entrepreneurship, especially with regards to young technology companies. In 2014, Kinexon was honored by Wissensfabrik, Handelsblatt and UnternehmerTUM with the Weconomy Award as Germany’s most innovative start-up.
As an outstanding science based company Kinexon focuses on cutting-edge radio technology to detect the precise position and motion of objects or people – indoor and outdoor. A great deal of performance is the fact that Kinexon has developed the entire radio and sensor network architecture by itself – as well as the protocols and the algorithms for highly accurate position and motion sensing.
Following a brief introduction by Andrea Rotzler – Head of Entrepreneurship of the recommending institution Wissensfabrik – Dr. Oliver Trinchera presented Kinexon in front of the international audience. During his presentation Oliver underlined the huge potential that precise localization and motion sensing has to fuel the major current trends such as Industry 4.0, Cyber Physical Systems or the Digitalization of Sports. The following discussions with the participants showed, that these topics are relevant both for industry, business and academia.
