Boavista FC Reinforces Partnership with FSI and Announces Collaboration with KINEXON
Boavista FC announces the renewal and expansion of its partnership with the Football Science Institute (FSI), one of the main global references in the area of scientific research and the development of new technological tools applied to football.
Throughout the 2023⁄24 sporting season, a line of scientific research will be developed between Boavista FC and FSI with the aim of creating an individual profile of the players. The results obtained in this project will generate a better understanding of the player from an individual and collective point of view, capable of offering an essential tool in the work of the technical team, in addition to contributing decisively to the development of the scientific aspect applied to football.
To make this project possible, Boavista FC and FSI will count on the collaboration of KINEXON. As FIFA Preferred Provider Live Player & Ball Tracking, KINEXON is one of the world’s leading technology providers of live tracking and data analysis in professional sports.
Through this partnership, Boavista FC will be the very first club to work with the GPS-based player tracking system “KINEXON PERFORM GPS Elite”. This upcoming innovation will be the most advanced mobile live player tracking technology, setting new standards in accuracy to meet the highest demands of coaches and sports scientists.
“We are very pleased to solidify our partnership with FSI, a leading player in the area of football and sports science”, began by stating Miguel Cid, responsible for Boavista LAB and Team Manager of the Boavista FC main team.
“We have to work with the best to fulfill the mission of continuing to grow Boavista FC and that is what this partnership with the Football Science Institute and Kinexon is all about,” he added.
This collaboration will also allow the development of advanced training programs and activities for coaches and players, as Boavista FC professionals will have access to FSI’s most varied online master’s courses, which cover areas such as medicine, physiotherapy, coaching and nutrition. The two institutions will also begin joint research efforts, always with the aim of improving daily practices at Boavista LAB.
This collaboration will also catalyze synergies in the advancement and dissemination of scientific research projects, whilst providing a unique opportunity for FSI students to delve into the inner workings of a professional football club at the forefront of technological innovation.
Bernardo Requena, co-founder of the Football Science Institute, expresses his enthusiasm with the renewal of a successful partnership, also welcoming the new collaboration with KINEXON: “We are committed to continuing to make advances in the field of sports science and our collaboration with Boavista FC and Kinexon is proof of our shared dedication to excellence”, he stated.
FSI works with several internationally renowned clubs, such as Valencia, Betis, Celta de Vigo, PSV Eindhoven, Marseille, Besiktas, Club América, Colo Colo, Inter Miami, among others.
